Believe it or not, I haven't been baking as much as I should. *Should* meaning my co-workers have been complaining and I have been turning down cupcake orders from established businesses such as Apple and Google. My baking mojo was not the same.
Now, with the New Year approaching, I have switched it up. Instead of cupcakes, I baked cakes. For my BFF's birthday, I made her this pineapple coconut cake (taken with my point and shoot camera) which received rave reviews. The frosting was made with cream cheese, pudding, and whipped cream. I like the *bake in the pan* concept. It reminded me of the 1960's era, where the aproned-moms would come out into the Eichler living rooms with these cakes. One of the best cakes I've made ever.
Then for another birthday, I've made a delicious carrot cake which had rum-soaked raisins, lot of shredded carrots, and some coconut flakes.
I haven't given up on cupcakes either. Here is Lori (chocolate fanatic) enjoying her birthday triple Godiva chocolate (frosting, topping, and cupcake - all chocolate) cupcake.
So I have been baking, but not as often and not taking beautiful DSLR photos. But it was a start. I will get back on track.

apple and google? your friends must be very persuasive, and you're a good friend to them!
every art needs a break every now and then ... good luck getting back into it!
I'm currently in that space,,my oven is doing something stupid right now and not working properly (GRRRR) so while waiting to have it service, I will welcome the time to just relax, collect my thoughts and get ready to 'work' again :)
